There are plenty of great ways to game on the go, but if you don't want to sacrifice performance or limit your library, you'll want a gaming laptop. Combining powerful hardware with portability doesn't come cheap, and most well-equipped models start north of $1,000. So if you're on a budget, you won't want to miss out on this Lenovo Legion Slim 5 bargain at Walmart's Holiday Deals event. The retailer is offering a whopping $551 discount on this 16-inch gaming laptop, which drops the price down to a reasonable $849.

At the moment, this deal is only open to Walmart Plus members, but it will be available to everyone starting at midnight tonight (12 a.m. ET on Oct. 9). And while the sale is set to run through Oct. 13, there's no guarantee that this offer won't sell out before then. Get your order in soon if you don't want to miss out on these savings.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is packed full of advanced hardware that makes it a solid value at just $849. It's equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive for fast and fluid performance. Plus, it features a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card and a 16-inch, 2,560x1,600-pixel display with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, allowing you to enjoy your games with crisp, detailed visuals. Weighing in at more than 5 pounds, it's on the beefy side, but is still plenty portable at just 0.99 inches thick. One major drawback, however, is its limited battery life -- only supporting around five hours of play time per charge.

You'll find tons of other bargains at Walmart's Holiday Deals event, along with Amazon's October Prime Day sale, which both take place this week. And you can check out our roundups of all the best Prime Day laptop and gaming deals for even more savings on consoles, games and accessories.
